Wanting: Old textbooks

STUDENTS who no longer have any use for old school textbooks can deposit them with any one of NTUC FairPrice Co-operative’s 38 outlets.

The books, in any level or language, can be left at the baggage counter of the supermarkets, preferably before Dec 15. The co-op will distribute these books to needy students before school re-opens in January.

Since the project started in 1983, about 330,000 textbooks — from primary to pre-university level —have been given away.

FairPrice is appealing for more secondary textbooks this year, because of the high demand for them in the past. Details on collection of the textbooks will be released later.
