Quiet day with nature
Spend a quiet day with nature next Sunday at the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong to commemorate World Environment Day.
There will not be any organized activities, so do your own thing there — sing to the birds, talk to the trees, whatever.
Or if you prefer, visit the FRIM museum which will be open to the public on that day. FRIM staff will also conduct nature walks.
The Star’s Green Celebration planned for that day has been put off to October to coincide with Malaysia’s Environment Day, the anniversary of the signing of the Langkawi Declaration. We have also received requests from a number of organizations to hold the celebration at a later date to enable them to put up a better show.
