Recycle that junk
FOUR million tonnes of rubbish is what Singaporeans, will generate by year 2004, said Environment Minister I, Mah Bow Tan, when he urged Singaporeans to take to waste recycling.
MPs were also concerned about the recent outbreaks t food poisoning In hotels. Was it a case of the ministry relaxing its vigilance when it comes to inspecting posh Senior Parliamentary Secretary for environment Ho Kah Leong assured them that it was not. He also added that every hotel now had a food hygiene officer.
